The #FruitsOfLabor Story Pt30– Student with a Message
If someone were to ask me what my passion is, I would have to say Traveling, Realizing Ideas, and Developing People. Trying to make a difference in people’s lives, and leaving an imprint on this world. At the start of this year I was in a place of deep thought and self reflection. I was trying to figure out a way to align my goals, talents, and ideas in a cohesive way for the world to see.I wanted to impact and inspire people. As always, I was doing a lot of reading and listening hours of audio. Then one day in January it hit me,“Why not Me?!” I spend soo much time listening to the gurus of personal development; Jim Rohn,Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy,John Maxwelletc., that I felt like maybe I could be that “guru” for somebody else. The people who have never heard of these speakers can get a more modernized message from a guy they can relate to, Me.I was hit with an undeniable urge to serve.Within the next month I was scheduled to guest speak in four different classrooms.
Looking at it from a professional standpoint, I’ve gone to great lengths in the Sports Industry in order to get where I am today. Many of the things I learned the last six years were never really taught to me in the classroom. I felt excited to share what I felt these college kids needed to know. Naturally, I started at my own alma matersHampton U. and VSU.I was prepared, I executed, and the feedback was super encouraging. It was very fulfilling for me to serve in this way, It just felt right. It was also a rush to stand in front of so many people with all eyes and ears on me. I loved it. All in all, my goal isand has always been to maximize everything I have inside of me, and now I see my purpose is also to inspire others around me to do the same thing. Zig Ziglar once said, “If you help enough people get what they want. You can have everything you want.”Through leadership, education, and consulting, I’m here to help other people get what they want.
My movement is just starting and I know I have a long way to go. As of now, I’m just another 20-something pursuing his dreams and living to tell about it. I’m a Student with a Message and if my life is my message, I hope it explains to you that,“Passion Changes Everything.”
